Today, Dec 17th, 2020, is the 100th birth anniversary of Prof. Kamla Chowdhry (1920-2006), the first faculty member of IIMA, pioneering management educationist and institution builder. In her life, she was associated with ATIRA, IIMA, Ford Foundation India, IRMA, CSE, SEWA, and a variety of other institution building efforts. Dorm-1 in IIMA is named after her and do check out the 'Kamala Cafe' in Ahmedabad run by SEWA, also named in her honour! Over the past two years, the archives team has dug out various documents, pictures, reflections about her life and as part of this month's archival snippet, we are pleased to release a short 8-minute documentary called The First Faculty Member of IIMA, available on this link, and a photo album of her time at IIMA on this link.
