December was a significant month for the Institute. On December 11, 2023, all members of the IIMA community and stakeholders came together to celebrate Institute Day with immense enthusiasm. Throughout the month, December was filled with various events for all those associated with IIMA. One notable highlight was the series of alumni reunions that took place. These reunions brought together graduates from different classes, including PGP 1968, 1973, 1983, 1988, 1998, 2003, 2013, and PGPX 2007-08 and 2012-13. It was a joyous occasion as these individuals gathered on campus to reminisce and reconnect. Have you ever wondered when the first reunion was celebrated on campus? The inaugural PGP Alumni Reunion took place on April 9 and 10, 1970, with approximately 90 alumni in attendance. This historic event marked the beginning of a tradition that continues to this day. As our featured document for the month, we are thrilled to present a document which sheds light on the first PGP Alumni Reunion, an article published in the IIMA Alumnus which showcases the major papers presented during the first reunion, and some photographs of the class of 1968 at the IIMA Archives on December 6, 2023, as part of their 55th reunion events took place on campus from December 5-7, 2023.
