Dilnavaz Variava (1944- ) did her PGP in Business Administration at IIMA as a member of the first batch of students in 1964-66. After IIMA, she worked with Voltas and Grindwell for three years each, before joining World Wildlife Fund (WWF) India as the Chief Executive. For several decades thereafter she worked on a wide range of environmental issues and was closely associated with the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) and Rotary Club of Bombay. She also became Chairperson of the Bharat Floorings group in Mumbai. In her interview, she recounted her upbringing in a Parsi family, motivations to join IIMA, various aspects about of student life in the first two academic years of IIMA, post-IIMA career and snippets on the history of Bharat Floorings. |
