Professor M N Vora worked in the Marketing Area from 1st August 1963 to 29th October 1993. Prof. Vora was born into a simple Gujarati family in Serthali, North Gujarat. He received his BCom Degree (First Class) from H L College of Commerce in Ahmedabad. Here, he was awarded the Gold Medal for his performance. Prof. Vora later attended the Wharton School of Finance where he obtained an MBA with distinction. Here, he was awarded a Gold Plaque by the American Marketing Association. He was also an elected Member of the Alpha Chapter, Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society in the United States. Prof. Vora completed his PhD from the Harvard Business School in 1973. Prof. Vora worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Pune. He was also associated with marketing consultants, Alderson & Associates and Foundation in New Delhi. His publications include Market Potential of Plastic Products for Gujarat Based Manufacturers (1969) and Indian Distribution System: Role of Private Trade (1979). During his 26 year tenure, Prof. Vora inspired a large number of students and teachers alike. He is remembered as a near perfectionist who would seldom let a detail pass him by.
