Dr. Sharma earned his doctoral degree with major marketing and double minor in psychology and quantitative analysis from Louisiana Tech University, USA. He worked at the institute from May 20, 2011 to February 28, 2019. Dr. Sharma is American Marketing Association Doctoral Consortium Fellow and National Conference of Sales Management Doctoral Fellow. Dr. Sharma is also past Associate Editor of Journal of Marketing Channels and past Editor of the Academy of Marketing Science proceedings. At the institute, his primary research interests were International Business, Brand and Customer Orientation, Business Relationship Management, and Ethics. Dr. Sharma has published extensively in leading international journals, encyclopedias, books, conference proceedings and popular outlets. He was involved in consulting projects with several multinational corporations and with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, and other government organizations.
