Dr. Rajesh Kumar Gupta is the Assistant Manager (Archivist) at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where he manages archival collections, supports
research activities, and facilitates access to historical materials. His research interests include archival studies, digitisation practices in archives, comics and graphic novels, contemporary history, gender studies, and children’s literature.
He is a trained archivist with a Diploma in Archives and Records Management and has over six years of experience working with different types of archives: NLS Law and Society Archives (Bangalore), History Division (Ministry of Defence, New Delhi) and the Department of Delhi Archives.
He holds a BA (Hons.) and MA in History from Hindu College, M.Phil from the Department of History, University of Delhi, and earned his PhD from the Centre for Historical Studies, JNU. His doctoral research focused on Indian comics and superheroes. He has actively contributed to the field through research and has published a paper titled
"Archival Practice in India through the Lens of Contemporary History Writing."
