Abhishek Kumar Mishra was appointed as the first professional archivist at IIMA in March 2022. Prior to this, he served as a Research Assistant/Curator at the Corps of Engineers (Indian Army) Archives & Museum in Pune for approximately five years.

Mr. Mishra holds a postgraduate degree in Modern Indian History from Delhi University, as well as a technical post-master's diploma in Archives & Records Management from the National Archives of India.

At IIMA Archives, he was responsible for overseeing various aspects such as archives & records management, administration, digitization, research & reference services, publications, tours, outreach & promotional activities. Beyond his professional endeavors, Abhishek Mishra has a passion for poetry and is fondly remembered at IIMA for playing the role of Vikram 'Tarabhai' on stage in a faculty-student play. #RocketUddaKe
